First the manufacture of leather bow ties was a hobby, but it soon became a profession. I get more and more inspired from doing things with my hands and working the challenging, old leather. I make the bow ties from reindeer leather and recycled leather, such as old boxing gloves.
With my experience of over 200 boxing matches, I know how many boxing gloves and punching bags get thrown out. In boxing, the leather wears unevenly, thus resulting in a beautiful and unique material. I wanted to recycle the material for reuse.
The leather bow tie is a beautiful accessory suitable for any occasion, from date nights and weddings to business meetings, i.e. all occasions that are important to You. I make every bow tie by hand here at Iittala Glass Capital in Finland.
